YOUR EXPERTISE NEEDS TO “PERMEATE” YOUR PROFILE & RECOMMENDATIONS
When you ask for a recommendation, you can apply it to a specific experience and can write a customized letter when requesting a recommendation that asks for a targeted response.
When presenting to a group, ask for recommendations from the participants and create a customized “request for recommendation” letter to focus those that will respond.
Here’s an example of a letter requesting a recommendation from your connections that attended a presentation:
“Please write a recommendation that can be posted on my LinkedIn profile and website.” Your recommendation would be most helpful with focus on:
1-Your view of how this new system can create success for your business.
2-Share the value you received from the content that was delivered.
3-Why would you recommend that others also view the presentation?
Those writing your recommendation will appreciate your guidance and providing focus on what you need. The way the request is written can drive comments that reinforce the skills you offer to perspective clients. It is a window into the effect your have and will drive new business for you!
